Architectural Artifacts

Architectural Artifacts is an antique store/museum/special events venue that salvages amazing pieces from lost buildings. If I were rich and had a really big house and garden, that’s where my money would go, screw the fancy cars and plastic surgery. Here’s their website  If you’re in Chicago you should definitely check it out, and plan to spend a few hours, it’s huge.

There are so many wonderful things there, it’s a good thing my camera batteries died and I didn’t have replacements with me. I was forced to go home after a reasonable amount of time instead of wandering for hours.

I don’t know what this is, but it may be the best thing ever

I can't imagine how much this thing weighs

That looks like a Louis Sullivan tile back there

Big picture

These things are large

I’m going back with extra batteries.
